One of the best examples of a wall cloud that I've seen recently. I was taking photos with my right hand out the left window as I was driving fairly fast down a country road, so I was surprised that any of them came out okay. I picked one with my mirror and the blurred fence to give the impression of chasing the storm.

I came so close to seeing a tornado this time...

That is really cool! It was so scary last night and I do not think I have ever really been scared of a storm before! This is something out of Oz!

The news certainly doesn't help calm the masses. I was watching in disgust as they actually were saying things like, "Ooooh! What's that over there? That cloud. Yeah, can you zoom in? I think it's definitely a possible funnel cloud? Hmm, okay, maybe not. How about that one over there?" Idiocracy in the form of commerce.

And I do believe that's the second Oz reference you've used when commenting on my pics, young lady. One more and that's, um... three. :D

nice shot

might want to submit to a local station or [link] it could be useful to someone and you might make some money if you send it to the weather service

~now that I know the laws, I'll feel more comfortable shooting people.

*I'll go and kick the shit out of your rabbit and see how you like that!
~We don't go around sucking your paws do we?

Dude. I wish I could go storm chasing with you.

I think I recognize exactly where you were in this one. You were down by R------e heading toward Chris's old subdivision?
:iconqwikdrah:
I feel your pain. I used to frequently storm chase when I was going to school out in Warrensburg. Every time I'd go to where the action was, it would dissipate. Not only that, but several times there were tornadoes near where I left from! Gaahh! I started telling people that they were safe if I stayed in town...

And thanks for the info; I'll look into it.

It certainly gets the blood pumping. Just DO NOT let T-m (:D) drive. He's bad enough on a normal day, let alone with the distraction and excitement of chasin' a 'nader! :XD:

Right town, only I was booking it in an easterly direction towards the country. You were close :).
